Nancy McFarlane

Nancy McFarlane

Nancy McFarlane, Mayor of Raleigh. A political independent, she is the second female mayor in Raleigh’s history. Prior to running for mayor, she was a pharmacist, owned her own business, and was a city councilwoman.

Mayor McFarlane partnered with iFundWomen, a crowdfunding platform that supports female led small business and startups, to help encourage innovation in Raleigh. “Raleigh is a leading center for entrepreneurship and innovation. iFundWomen Raleigh is an exciting partnership that will continue to fuel the capital city’s entrepreneurial spirit and provide funding for emerging women-led businesses in our region. As a business owner, I understand how difficult it is to raise money, fund operations and get a business off the ground. This platform addresses these challenges and is a much-needed resource that not only grants local entrepreneurs access to capital, but it also helps residents discover and invest in businesses in our own backyard.”
